Training for Development (TfD)
TfD is an independent training organisation, which has operated successfully since 1993. It is an accredited Scottish Qualifications Authority Centre, delivering a wide variety of Scottish Vocational Qualifications and National Certificate Awards.
TfD works to Quality Standards, having attained and retained recognition as a Scottish Quality Management System (SQMS) and Investor in People business.
TfD' offers Clients/learners access to training, depending on their needs. Training Plans, outlining the form and style of training, are agreed and regularly reviewed throughout the Client's period of learning.
TfD staff are drawn from a broad range of occupations and professions, and have Quality marked assessing and occupational qualifications. They are skilled in working with learners, helping learners to adapt to and acquire new skills, or encouraging them regain any confidence loss caused by periods away from the employment market.
A large part of TfD's Programme deals with the delivery of skills in the workplace and the business is used to working with learners in work situations where they feel comfortable and are able to assimilate knowledge quickly. The business is able to deliver training in any suitable location in order to meet work requirements.
TfD is a learndirect learning Centre with access to a wide range os short course material. People interested in any training on offer are advised to discuss their needs with TfD staff.
Our aim is to provide flexible training Programmes suited to client needs.
TfD can access training Programmes such as Training for Work, New Deal, Skillseekers, Modern Apprenticeships.
